If you are interested in running for an office of the Capitol Hill Community Council, nominations need to be received by the 5/16 meeting at 6:30. They should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
As noted earlier, the by-laws are under revision. The changes were proposed at the March meeting, but there was not time to vote on them at the April meeting. Below are the revised by-laws and the narrative listing the proposed changes as well as copy of the neighborhood map linked to in the by-laws and the original document filed for incorporation.
by-laws Proposed Changes narrative 13_0412
Attached are the by-laws Revisions proposed by the By-Laws committee (John Akamatsu, Erie Jones, Dennis Saxman, and the Executive Committee). The document is in Word, with Track Changes showing deleted and added text, and format changes. A by-laws  narrative briefly lists the changes for your convenience.
We would like to have the changes separated into three categories:
- minor changes, e.g., clarifying the boundary, committee formation;
- debatable changes, e.g., resolution language, removing volunteers from eligible members.
In addition, some items have been marked for further discussion by all council members. Although copies will be provided, we ask that you read the proposed changes prior to the meeting.
